Managing Defined Benefit Costs & Risks

Mercer recently hosted "Managing Defined Benefit Costs & Risks - Under the Eye of the Dragon" seminars on 9 March (Cork) and 11 March (Dublin).

During these seminars, under the impartial eye of the "dragon", Gavin Duffy, Mercer explored the options available to address current challenges and chart a future course for defined benefit schemes.  Two client case studies were presented to illustrate some of the ways in which schemes can be restructured and risks mitigated.  These dealt with the first successful "Section 50" application under new legislation enacted last year and the development and implementation of an investment derisking strategy.
