All regulated services and products provided by Mercer to private customers are protected under the Investor Compensation Act, 1998 in the event of Mercer being unable to remain financially solvent. The amount of compensation payable to each eligible investor is limited to 90 per cent of the amount lost, as determined by the Administrator. The most that the scheme will pay each client is €20,000. The scheme is designed to assist private investors with a firm that has failed. It is not available to 'professional' or institutional clients.
