We provide a Pensions Authority approved trustee training course for prospective and experienced trustees. This course is suitable for defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) trustees and is presented by a senior panel of Mercer experts who have years of experience dealing with trustee issues.
The courses are, for now, delivered remotely with a 2 hour session and a 1 hour session over two consecutive days, with updates on recent pension’s issues and question/answer sessions throughout. All participants will be awarded formal CPD and will also receive a Trustee Training certificate.
In addition to this course, we can also provide bespoke training courses. Our consultants can work with you to identify the training needs of the trustee body as a whole, a sub-group or individual trustees.
We can then develop and deliver a course or training programme designed to meet these specific needs.
Courses can be delivered remotely or run at any location convenient for the trustees, including your offices or the Mercer offices. Whether you are a trustee, a pension administrator or involved in the day-to-day management of pensions, these courses will be of benefit to you.

Tuesday
9 am – 11.00 am: Modules 1, 2 ,3 (legal) and 4 (admin)
Wednesday
9 am -10 am: Module 5 (DB actuarial and investment)
10 am -11 am: Module 6 (DC investment)
All courses will take place online until further notice.
Note: The Trustees must attend on both dates.
Courses are subject to demand. Should a course date be rescheduled, we will notify you at least one week prior to the change.
The courses cost €450 per participant. However, there is a 15% discount for each additional participant from the same organisation attending.
Cancellations should be sent in writing to the course administrator:
Cancellations received less than 48 hours prior to the course will be subject to a cancellation fee. You may substitute a colleague for yourself up to 48 hours before the start of a course.
